During preparation and carring out of the VII International tournament named after Viktor Bannikov in Donetsk and Mariupol cities from the 5th till 11th of June, 2008, Main department of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk region takes some measures to provide safety during competitions.
In particular, there made estimations of personal, involved in providing with public safety directly at competition places and places of teams and fans staying, developed plans of measures connected with public order protection during tournament.
Militia workers will provide safety of delegations and convoy them during meetings. Territories of accommodation and competition will be protected by twenty-four-hours militia details.
Generally, to provide public order and safety it is planned to involve 900 militia workers everyday, 60 of whom are workers of State auto inspection and 160 servicemen. If there is some force majeure there will be created operative reserve involving 50 workers of special subdivision “Berkut”.
Besides, from June 1, 2008, Donetsk and Mariupol cities will be patrolled. In order to do this, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine plans to give additional 200 servicemen from Ukrainian national forces.
In order to communicate with foreign delegations and fans, there is an agreement with Horlivka institute of foreign languages and Mariupol humanitarian institute about involving voluntary students of the 1-2 courses to help militia workers. Generally, it is planned to involve 80 volunteers: 50 representatives of Horlivka institute of foreign languages and 30 volunteers from Mariupol humanitarian institute. Their main task – accompanying of foreign delegations together with militia representatives and to translate addresses to militia departments.
