Donetsk railway successfully ended the 2007 year as for the repair of tracks and rolling stock

As the Mass-Media of the Donetsk railway Governance informed during the last year 223.2 km of tracks were updated that is twice more than in the 2006. The main updating works were made in Chaplyne –Yasynuvata, Losova – Martseve, Mykytivka – krasna Mohyla. Besides, the total repair of 76.3 km of tracks is made; 521switchings are changed into new ones.

Railwaymen point out that, beside the safety of traffic, smoothness of train run is increased on the repaired areas. It gives the opportunity to increase the reliability of all technical equipment, including automatic systems, telemechanics and links.

Donetsk railway also made all repairing and updating of hauling rolling stock tasks: current depot repair (TP3-the most complicated) made 19 shunting diesel locomotives, 26 load locomotives, 25 electric locomotives, 30 electric sections and 3 diesel trains.

In 2007 there were 12265 load trucks of Ukrainian railway repaired, including 2172 covered trucks, 7131 half-trucks, 2031 tanks, 513 universal platforms and others in the Donetsk railway depot. Besides, 4811 load units are repaired, which are the property of the industrial enterprises.

Special attention was paid to the repair of passenger rolling stock. Depot repaired 801 passenger trucks, including 90 units, which were totally repaired. Besides, plants repaired 66 passenger trucks.
