Prime minister of Ukraine Julia TYMOSHENKO carried out a working visit to the Donetsk region

Today Prime Minister of Ukraine, Julia TYMOSHENKO, within the working visit to the Donetsk region met with miners’ families, who died during the accident on a leasing enterprise «Zasjad’ko mine» and conducted meeting with the representatives of working mine collective, suffered from the explosion.
During intercourse with families of the lost and injured miners Prime Minister reported that one of the reasons for such visit – to comprehensively understand the situation, to organize a direct dialog with people, who needs help, and during intercourse with specialists – to determine with the further steps of government for reformation of coal industry.
As the leader of government said, it is an urgent question to create new commission with the renewed complement for objective investigation of causes and effects of the accident.  HEREWITH, Julia TYMOSHENKO noticed that all coal industry required the system changes.
As Prime Minister marked, legislative branch needs to begin with development of high-quality laws, which will soberly increase the prestige of miner’ work, will guarantee the proper social defense and high level safety of coal enterprises’ workers. The first step to this transition can be the work pay by the hour that will allow the workers not to exceed settled norms of extraction.
 Julia TYMOSHENKO expressed a confidence in the development of Zasjad’ko mine as the enterprise is considered to be one of the most leading in the industry for its amount of extraction and facilities directed on a reconstruction and newest equipment of production.
In conclusion, communicating with journalists, Prime Minister noticed that under her guidance industry is expected to be cardinally reformed, and responsible for the accident people, according to results of thorough investigation, and if materials will testify their guilt - will be punished.
