Regional conference « Barrierless terms of existence and other problems of invalid activity in the region»

Today the Donetsk regional state administration chairman VOLODYMYR LOGVYNENKO conducted the regional conference of «Barrierless terms of existence and other problems of invalid activity in the region». In the conference also took part vice-chairman YURIY KHIVRYCH and RSA vice-chairman OLENA PETRJAJEVA, and also chairman assistants of the towns and districts of the region.
  At the beginning of conference, VOLODYMYR LOGVYNENKO pointed out: «The aim of our meeting is to discuss problems which exist in towns and districts, and also in the region. Today we must define the program for the stage-by-stage decision of existing problems which, unfortunately, - a lot».
 During the conference there were considered the following questions:
  - About co-operation of state authority and local self-government authorities with public organizations of invalids in order to decide problems of social invalids’ protection of the region;
 - About the creation of existence barrierless terms and Committees of availability in the Donetsk region;
 - About the problems of invalids’ prosthesis by Donetsk prosthetic - orthopedic plant;
 - About the fulfillment of the decisions, accepted in January, 2007 as for the sanatorium «Slov’yans’kyj»;
 - Problems of the Donetsk regional hospital of renovation  treatment №15, which is unique between former most specialized clinics of USSR for patients with problems of back;
  - About organization of athletic-health measures for invalids with disabled feet, wheelchairmen. About the sport competitions on the base «Zhemchuh» in September, 2007, Melekino village. Prospects of collaboration with Donetsk Ukrainian society of blinded;
 - About the informative providing of invalids’ public organizations activity, prospects of collaboration with MASS-MEDIA;
  - About barrierless access of people with the limited physical possibilities to the objects of the housing and public purpose, activity of regional, city and district committees of availability.
 Chairman of Donetsk regional organization of invalids, NADIYA POLAMARCHUK, dwelled upon the acute problems existing in Donbas. First of all is providing of unimpeded access of the physically disabled people to the objects of the social, cultural, transporting and domestic purpose.
 NADIYA POLAMARCHUK appealed to VOLODYMYR LOGVYNENKO and present representatives of local self-government organs with suggestion to found a position of Adviser for invalids, who would control and organize the implementation process of the programs of social maintenance by local administrations.
 VOLODYMYR LOGVYNENKO charged the leaders of district state administrations and city chairmen to complete the creation process of availability Committees and Program acceptance for creating barrierless terms of existence, to found by the town chairmen and district state administration leaders the position of adviser for invalids as Donetsk regional organization of invalids recommend in order to establish close collaboration between state authority of local self-government and public invalid organizations; town leaders and district state administrations have to give material and financial support to town and district societies of invalids.
