The Donetsk railway is ready to winter

 

Structural divisions of the Donetsk railway have finished the basic preparation to the autumn-winter period.

Readiness of boiler-houses for operation makes 100 % (597 boiler-houses are prepared). The normative inexhaustible stock of the furnace black oil, power coal, and also necessary stock of reserve fuel (coal) is created.

 

Planned internal and external repair is made in premises of structural divisions. Besides, they are provided with heat insulation, work of heating and ventilating systems, heat- and water supply is checked up.

Trouble-free work and traffic safety on the railway transportation during the winter period substantially depend on reliable protection of the way against snowdrifts. Readiness of specialized snow-removing and snow cleaning techniques to activation makes 100 % - 53 units are ready to whims of the nature.

 

Work on maintenance with winter overalls is completed. Today, there is an active delivery and giving out means of an individual defense to workers. Thus, the Donetsk railway has purchased: a suit "Gudok" - 2673 pieces, a suit "Zyma" - 4390 units, a suit "Puteyets" - 2692 units, heat-shielding suits - 11 566 units, kersey boots - 9902 pairs, valenoks - 2121 pairs, alarm waistcoats - 55 320 units and combined mittens - 376,7 thousand units.

Besides, it is planned to prepare 799 carriages for winter transportations, in particular 218 units, which will be maintained on high-voltage heating. It will allow generating 15 passenger structures. The given work is planned to increase quality degree of passenger services, maintenance of temperature mode in carriages and improvements of working conditions of conductors. In the carriages, heated by coal, places of its storage and condition of boilers are checked up.

 

Preparation of stations, pavilions, platforms and other objects of the passenger complex proceeds. The carriages that have been not involved in winter transportations will be preserved in a serviceable condition. Special places are already prepared for them and measures on safety are taken.

The Donetsk railway continues a hard work on providing workers and pensioners with household fuel. Provision of household fuel makes 75 % at present. This work, according to the collective agreement, is conducted during all year. It is necessary to note that the stock of firm fuel (coal) for duly delivery to workers and pensioners is available in necessary volumes.
