The Donetsk railway will increase volumes of major overhaul of carriages of not compartment type in depot

This decision was accepted on the technical and economic council, devoted to questions of the organization and carrying out of carriages repair (major overhaul of carriages of not compartment type with prolongation of service) in conditions of carriage depot Donetsk. The chief of the Donetsk railway, Mykolay Serhiyenko, services and the enterprises heads have taken part in the action.

Mykolay Serhiyenko has noted that such a decision is directed to decrease expenses for major overhaul of a rolling stock and creation of new workplaces. In passenger carriage depot Donetsk there are necessary capacities, the equipment and the areas. It allows creation of one repair base of carriages irrespective of type of the carriage and financial and economic attitudes with carriage-repair factories of Ukraine.

 

The plan of carriages repair in depot for 2008 made 12 units, but in connection with insufficient financing of repairs at carriage-repair factories the decision to increase repair in depot Donetsk up to 18 carriages was accepted. In the long term development of carload depot Donetsk for 2009 is planned to carry out repairs of 24 carriages.

At present major overhaul of carriages of not compartment type with prolongation of service is carried out in conditions of passenger carload depot Donetsk, Open Company "Kharkov carriage-building factory", Open Company "Konotop factory on repair diesel engine-trains". Experts estimate that the cost price of one carriage repair of not compartment type in conditions of carload depot Donetsk is lower in comparison with carrying out of a similar kind of works at carriage-repair factories.

According to the chief of the Donetsk railway, it is needed creation of new repair shops for realization of the project (autocoupling, brake, a refrigerating machinery, an air conditioning, cart shops), and also full equipping of the existing repair shops (electroshop, branch on repair of biotoilets), purchase of mechanization means of auxiliary operations and the process equipment is required. It will allow to increase quality of repair to higher level.
