Volodymyr LOGVYNENKO carried out conference devoted to the question of traffic safety
Volodymyr LOGVYNENKO, the RSA chairman carried out conference, which outlighted the accident rate on the Donetsk region roads and the main courses of accidents.
At the conference also were present assistants of the RSA chairman, heads of the RSA governances, mayors and state auto inspection workers.
The Donetsk RSA chairman, Volodymyr LOGVYNENKO pointed out in his speech that “it is no coincidence that in 2007 there appeared Decree of the President of Ukraine Viktor YUSHCHENKO “About argent measures to providing traffic safety”.
Two months after the conference that was held by the region leader about the above-said problems, the results showed that the work towards this direction was unsatisfactory.
That is why, today, the RSA chairman paid a great attention to fulfillment of the Decree requirements by the local self-government organs: “The first thing to do is to create services of transport and traffic organization at local executive power organs. Their main task is work planning and coordination of organizations, which provide traffic safety. The second one – it is necessary to finish till 15th of March city and district programs of the autotransport and traffic safety development for the period till 2012”.
Volodymyr LOGVYNENKO concluded: “All we understand that today’s question touches the interests not only our region, but the whole state. Life and health of our compatriots depend upon the successive determination of this question. I’m convinced that we have all opportunities to considerably improve safety on roads and streets of our region. To do this, we need pressing and purposeful work of many services, starting with State auto inspection and local self-government organs, and ending with general educational school workers. In the protocol order of today’s conference there fixed concrete tasks to all officials, upon whom depends successive determination of drivers’, pedestrians’ and passengers’ safety. I ask you to responsibility while fulfillment of measures, stated in documents of our conference”. The region leader assured all present that “If in two months, at the next conference, devoted to traffic safety, the indices are the same, then staff question in corresponding organizations will be determined directly at the conference”.
