3 people died because of gas poisoning
At night, from the 20th to 21st of January 2008 died 3 people and 2 people are in reanimation because of the gas poisoning in one of the Donetsk dwelling houses, in Kalinin area.
Accident happened, because flat residents violated the rules of gas appliances using. Arriving to accident place, emergency service workers found out that there worked gas column and ventilator; windows were closed in the flat. That led to accumulation of charcoal gas in the flat. As a result of gas poisoning 2 people, 31 and 63 years, and a child at the age of 13 died. A woman at the age of 32 and a child at the age of 8 months are under grave condition in reanimation.
As press-service of the open joint stock company “Donetskmis’kgas” has already informed, for some time past accidents of gas poisoning because of violations the rules of gas appliances using.
Donetsk citizens often use gas ovens for heating the dwelling as air temperature is low. They also use other gas devices not following the elementary rules of safety.

· By using gas appliances it is necessary to air rooms and to check ventilation traction before and during the work of gas devices in order combustion gas products do not get into the flat.
· When the traction lacks – turn off gas appliances.
· Remember that working gas appliances could not be left without superintendence.
· When there is a strong wind, fog, rain and snowfall it is forbidden to use gas appliances with tapping of combustion products into the flue, because traction can be broken.
· Look, when your children use gas appliances and ask them to keep to industrial safety rules.
· Hold your gas appliances clear.
· By trouble-shooting in gas appliances work, inform certainly the local regional operational service (ROS).
· By feeling gas in the flat, open certainly pilot window and call the emergency gas service by telephone number 04. Before coming of emergency service you can not use opened fire, turn on and off electrical appliances and electric lighting. It may lead to gas fire.
